So, my flight would be leaving at about 2 PM. I figured I had enough time to try and find a bottle of Quaranto Y Tres... the yummy hazelnut liquor that Ken De Souza brought back from his odyssey in Spain. I went back to a liquor store that I had found a couple of days before, but didn't buy anything from yet, since I wanted to wait until the last minute. When I got there, I learned that the store was closed... it wouldn't be opening until 1 PM! What the hell!? Well, I had run out of time. I had to head to the airport and take my chances there.
So I returned to the hotel, checked out, and pulled my (now really heavy) suitcase to the train station. From there I was able to take a train to Schiphol airport (about twenty minutes from the centre of Amsterdam). I checked my suitcase in, and hit the shopping areas. Schiphol actually has lots of neat shopping areas. It's a pretty big airport, and I had time to wander around.
The first store I went into was a big one, but it did NOT have the Quaranto Y Tres. I had begun to panic. I wandered frantically into another store farther down the airport. Ohmigod, ohmigod. I found a one litre bottle of the stuff! Whew! This stuff is REALLY GOOD. If anyone else wants to try any Quaranto Y Tres, I suggest they get their own, since I don't want to share my precious supply.

The flight back was okay. I sat beside some interesting people. The guy I was sitting beside had apparantly been studying in a church in Tanzania for the past few months. He was shocked to see how polluted the Toronto air was when were flying into the airport. I said "Welcome to Ontario." I had a window seat. At one point, someone opened the overhead compartment and the guy's laptop computer fell out and hit the lady who was sitting in the aisle seat right in the head. OUCH!!!!!!!! Remind me to always get a window seat... *shudder*
While flying back and looking out the window, I actually saw another airplane, flying out over the Atlantic Ocean with us. That was pretty cool, I don't think I had ever seen another plane in the air like that before (while no where near any airports, or land, even!).

So that was my vacation. I really enjoyed myself. I really like Germany. I especially liked Berlin. That's the one city I spent the most time in, but I think I could have kept on enjoying it longer. I don't know yet where I will go next year, but I hope I can try and pull something off as glorious as this trip was.
